SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has released a SafeGuardS that details the changes to China’s updated product standard for dresses and suits – FZ/T 81004-2022.
This standard applies to clothing made mainly from woven fabrics but does not apply to dresses and suits intended for infants aged less than 36 months.
FZ/T 81004-2022 was issued by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and included in the No. 10 announcement of approved industry standards in 2022. It came into effect on October 1, 2022, replacing the previous iteration – FZ/T 81004-2012.
SGS has published SafeGuardS 128.22 looking at the provisions in FZ/T 81004-2022, including the main technical changes – additions, revisions and deletions. To learn more, stakeholders are advised to review SGS’s original SafeGuardS 128.22.
