SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is advising stakeholders that China’s updated industry standard for casual wear – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is advising stakeholders that China’s updated industry standard for casual wear – FZ/T 81007-2022 – came into effect on October 1, 2022.
FZ/T 81007-2022 applies to casual clothing items made from woven fabrics. It does not apply to casual wear aimed at infants aged below 36 months.
SGS has published a SafeGuardS 129.22 looking at the provisions in FZ/T 81007-2022. This includes the main changes – additions, revisions and deletions – to the technical requirements in the new standard. Stakeholders are advised to review the original SafeGuardS 129.22 for more information.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology included FZ/T 81007-2022 in the No. 10 announcement of approved industry standards in 2022. It came into effect on October 1, 2022, replacing the previous iteration – FZ/T 81007-2012.
