SGS Reports on Revision to the EU CLP Regulation on Substances and Mixtures

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published a SafeGuardS summarizing the European Union’s (EU) revision of the classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2564 of June 19, 2024, was published in September 2024 and contains several important changes to the list of harmonized requirements under Table 3 in Part 3 of Annex VI of the CLP Regulation. New entries, deletions and replacements have been made, including:
– 27 new entries added
– Six entries deleted
– 16 entries replaced

The amendment will apply from May 1, 2026.
