Geneva (August 5, 2025) – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 110.25, detailing updates to ISO 8124-4:2025, the latest edition of the ISO standard for activity toys.
ISO 8124-4:2025 is the third edition of this standard for activity toys used in a domestic setting. It replaces the previous 2014 version, establishes the physical and mechanical requirements for activity toys and is largely based on existing standards in the European Union and the United States.
The changes include modifications to the standard title, applicable definitions, and requirements to better align with ASTM F1148 and EN 71-8.
SGS experts publish SafeGuardS to keep stakeholders informed about regulatory changes that could impact their business. SafeGuardS 110.25 includes summaries of some of the key updates to ISO 8124-4:2025.
Stakeholders are encouraged to refer to the original SafeGuardS 110.25 for more details.
