SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is delighted to present a complimentary webinar, ‘Durability in the textile circular economy,’ on Wednesday, October 4. This webinar will be of interest to brands, retailers and suppliers importing or selling softlines products for the French market.
Businesses selling textile products in Europe need to adhere to regulations designed to lower the environmental footprint of such products. These regulations, under Europe’s Product Environmental Carbon Footprint Rules (PECFR), including France’s Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy (AGEC) law, the Climate and Resilience law, and the Re-Fashion Eco-Modulations, and have differing criteria for defining the physical performance testing of textile products.
This webinar will look at the varied criteria which can be used to calculate the durability of a textile article, and at how those criteria are managed in different specifications. Among other topics will be information about recent updates to product durability requirements for Europe and France; including the presence of endocrine disruptors and France’s environmental labeling requirements, as well as how the laws will be implemented.
