New and Updated Toy and Children’s Products Standards Introduced in China

Geneva (November 6, 2025) – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 157.25, highlighting new and amended standards for toys and children’s products. This includes revisions to the GB 6675 toy safety standards series and other standards for children’s products and childcare articles.

The standards are in place to ensure the quality and safety of these products, helping protect children from potential hazards. Companies manufacturing, selling or importing such products in China must ensure full compliance with GB 6675 and related standards to minimize the risk of financial penalties, product recalls or market-access delays.

The changes were announced by the National Standardization Administration of China on October 5, 2025.
