Geneva (March 13, 2025) – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, reports on three seminars that offered guidance to export businesses operating in the Republic of Cameroon.
In collaboration with the European Chamber of Trade, the Belgian Economic Mission and the National Shippers’ Council of Cameroon, SGS hosted a series of workshops providing a greater understanding of mandatory customs procedures required for Cameroon. These successful events were attended by exporters, importers, customs clearance agents and investors working in Cameroon.
The Cameroonian authorities have two key programs for regulating imports and ensuring compliance with national and international trade standards: an import verification program (IVP) and a pre-shipment conformity assessment program (PVoC).
Attendees were given guidance on regulatory and legal frameworks, operating procedures, official costs, certificates/deliverables and the online tools available from SGS to businesses embarking on the IVP/PVoC programs.
