SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is hosting an expert webinar, ‘Understanding Uganda’s PVoC procedure 2023’ on Wednesday, October 25.
Getting products to market quickly and smoothly when there are often complex pre-export verification of conformity requirements can be difficult. To avoid costly delays and product failures, up-to-date information on, and experience of, national regulations can be key. This webinar provides details of Uganda’s Import Inspection and Clearance Scheme. Under this scheme, all imported products subject to the requirements of the Ugandan National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) Act 1983, must be inspected for conformity.
Presented by SGS’s Ferideh Kilii, who has nine years of experience of Uganda’s PVoC program, this webinar will describe SGS’s role as a recognized provider of PVoC services in the country, and how businesses can prepare their products for successful market entry. SGS can verify the description and specification of goods, the quantity of goods, and their conformity with the relevant Ugandan standards, as well as provide information about routes of certification and the validity period of test reports.
A Q&A session will also provide an opportunity for attendees to find out more about how SGS can help their consignments gain access to Ugandan markets.
