SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has announced details of their product compliance support services for businesses trading in Qatar.
All consignments of regulated products for Qatar must comply with national technical standards and provide conformity documentation to ensure the clearance of goods arriving at ports and borders in the country. SGS, as an accredited body, can facilitate the necessary Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to unlock Qatari markets.
A CoC ensures all regulated imported products are fully compliant with the necessary regulations, allowing for fuss-free customs clearance. Essential documentation will include a Request for Certification, technical conformity details and a manufacturer/seller’s declaration. Before issuance of a CoC, SGS can provide a review of these documents, plus a physical inspections of goods at origin, and analysis/testing of samples in accredited laboratories.
